Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi, the name is Riddla and I'm a multi genre (mainly known for my Grime) producer from Nottingham, England. Born and raised in Germany blood rooted in Ghana. Having given you my background my style has been said to be unique and drum focused but suits many different styles of music which I believe is something I gained from having different cultures woven in the fabric of my being. My Music has never been the "oh that sounds like" kind of music but more of the "this is kind of like but it's different".

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Timbaland the first producer/artist I looked up to, even before producing myself he was someone I enjoyed listening to due to his powerful drum patterns, thats probably where I get mine from. The person that really got me to try produce myself was my father who would make his own music back in the day on Fruity Loops 3. Watching him definitely gave me the courage to try and make music myself as I could see the fun in it from him.
My influences didn't grow much further until I moved to England and was introduced to grime at the age of 11/12. At first it was just fast paced noise to me, as I started getting used to the speed and language I felt the raw energy within Grime, realising that I myself have been part of it culturally as it is more than just music, once I was able to make that connection I found myself making the music.
As I got further into Music and decided to take it more seriously producers like Nick Stez who helped me master my craft more played a big part in my progression. Nick Stez is a producer from Nottingham who was part of a crew called Out da Ville in Nottingham who found success and were touring and featured on MTV in the early 2000.
What´s new right now?
I recently became a father which put a big pause on my music, but my daughter has now become one of my main drives in music, working a Day job, DJing at night and being about my family gives me limited time to produce but whenever I get the chance I am able to release all the stored up emotions to create powerful music.
DJing has worked hand in hand with my productions as I have the chance to play songs I have worked on or my Music family have created and help them push it out. Right now I am working closely with many people in Grime to create more music on a professional level and release on digital platforms to make it easy to access and listen to.
