Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
All the interviews start with that weird question of who I am. I guess I could say I´m the result of a mix between colombian, mexican, panamenian and U.S values, pop music, EDM and Jazz. I´m the product of the internet generation where people like me can generate millions of plays an not to have to pay for payola. Lately, I have been focusing on creating remixes for companies like Warner and Sony and trying to bring their latin artists to a whole new market in the Electronic Music Industry.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I started learning classical music when I was like 11 years old..so Tchaikovsky, Mahler and Brahms where like my "Boy Band Idols". Then my hormones started to kick in and I became more rebel and attracted to heavy music from The Clash, The Prodigy, The Dead Kennedys, Blink 180, etc. I would love to keep playing this kind of music and being able to be happy with it, the problem is when I tried to compose new tracks I felt like I needed more experimentation and uniqueness. And that´s where my love for electronic music started. Everything from Moby to Seven Lions became the perfect combination between rebellion, chords and mind-blowing sounds designed instruments.
What´s new right now?
What´s coming for Sinego is going to blow your mind!! I have a new music video with some dope surrealist shoots, 5 more remixes for Warner Music; and a gig at EDC Mexico! Apart from that I just have a VERY big new but it´s still a secret.. it just has to do with L.A and Demi Lovato (that´s all I´m going to say) ?
