Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hey! I am Skyvo and I produce melodic EDM music. I combine uplifting melodic energy with hard hitting trap drops, if you are more familiar with EDM genres you could call me a "future bass" producer (Others being Illenium, Flume, etc…). I produce in a very organic way where I start at the piano and compose it like a song, and then take it to the computer and engineer it. My goal is to bring happiness to the listener, to make you feel something. Whether that is a melody that gives you a soaring feeling, or a drop that gives you exciting energy to keep you going, I try to make my music really impact the listener. If my music is bringing happiness to people then it makes it all worth it for me. ?

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My music taste and influences have definitely changed a lot since the beginning, and they are always changing. In general I am very open minded and like a wide range of music (even outside of EDM), but I am mostly drawn to the melodic stuff and music that really gets my head bobbing. When I first started to produce (about 6 years ago) I was really into dubstep and drum and bass and I started to try and create my own dubstep songs (I was really into Skrillex, and Knife Party). After I got more into the EDM scene I began to branch out into more house stuff. I produced a lot of progressive house and melodic house for a very long time. My biggest influences in that time were Kaskade, BT, Dinka and Above and Beyond. About a year ago I began to produce future bass and fell in love with it. My Biggest influences right now are Illenium, Said the Sky and Krane. But I don't want to be held down by one genre, I think the beauty of electronic music is that it is always changing and evolving and I want my music to follow that path.

What´s new right now?

I have been slaving away in the studio for a while now and I have so much new exciting music on the way! Coming out very soon (within the month) I have a new remix of "Good Thing" by Tritonal. After that I have a ton of new originals coming out that I am super excited about. I have had the pleasure of working with some very talented singers who will be featured on these tracks and I could not be more happy with how the tracks are turning out! I have also been working on some new collaborations with other artists such as EKG and Olly. My biggest goal right now is to keep building up my community of people who love music and spread good vibes ? Be sure to go follow my SoundCloud, Facebook, and Instagram in the links below!! <3
