Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi everybody, I´m SLAMY – A DJ and Producer from Vienna (Austria). Already in the early years of my childhood i recognized love for the elctronic music. I started my DJ Career as a teenager on private parties and gained first experiences in small clubs! From then on i knew exactly, what is needed to make the party crowd dance and move! Since 2007 I started my adventure as a producer with house and dance music and now i´m excited for deep house, funky & groove house till tech house and also a bit of minimal, which gives me the opportunity to express my musical taste. I think as DJ it´s very importent how to bring on the right song at the right time to create an incredible atmosphere, temper and passion on the dance floor. In 2010 and 2011 i was nominated for the "Austrian Dance Award" in the category „Best Remixer“.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Yes, how i said, my taste have been changed now to very groovy & rolling tech house and funky jackin´house beats. In general i love every kind of house music and I listen as much as possible., also to get new ideas for my producer life. My biggest idoles and Producer-Heroes are Technasia, Green Velvet, Patrick Topping, Butch, Riva Starr, Block & Crown, Luciano, ….
What´s new right now?
I´m a club/resident DJ in a Club neir vienna and generally in my homeland Austria a booking DJ (with no Agency). All the bookings and dates i do by myself and i pick the bookings very carefully. My latest tracks you can listen here: https://soundcloud.com/dj-slamy
