Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hey everyone! My name is Justin Eigenbauer aka svnthheaven and I'm from Chicago. I am 17 years old and currently a senior in high school. My name, "svnthheaven" comes from the famous expression, "I feel like I'm floating on cloud 9". "Cloud 9" and "Seventh Heaven" are expressions both used to indicate the ultimate feeling of happiness or euphoria, and it should be known that every time I perform, I WANT my audience to feel that way and to forget about all the problems in their lives that have been stressing them out. I am currently a DJ, but would want to expand that talent by also becoming a music producer, something I'm going to college for as soon as I graduate from high school.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
To be honest, I can joke around and say my influence towards music all began every since I was in the womb. While my mom was pregnant with me, she would go to the club just to listen to good music and spend time with her friends (she did not drink), and all of a sudden, she would feel her stomach kick, indicating that I could feel and hear the music as well. Growing up ever since, I got used to listening to old school house music because of my dad. Then, at around the age of 8, I would listen to Skrillex since he was gaining so much popularity, and listen to DJ Flipside, one of Chicago's best radio DJ's. I then knew I couldn't help but to be like one of them. As more and more years passed by, I started to be able to own DJ equipment, and gained more freedom. Now I personally believe it's impossible to have a favorite DJ, but I can sure name some DJ's who I can confidentially say helped inspired to be the DJ I am today. DJ's and producers such as Laidback Luke, DJ 4B, Excision, and many more are so talented, yet underrated. What I believe makes me such a deadly upcoming DJ/Producer, is my variety in music, and the fact that I can take every little thing that I love from multiple DJ's and artists, then combine and create it into my own style. Not only am I inspired by DJ's, but simply every genre of music. You can see me go from pop, to trap, to throwbacks, to RnB, to bachata, to dubstep, to old-school house, to bass house, and the list just goes on and on.
What´s new right now?
Honestly, 2018 is going to be a huge and progressing year for me. In 2018, I'm getting the opportunity to not only DJ at a professional district cheer leading competition, but even my own prom as well. On top of that, 2018 will not only be a good time for me to upload brand new mashups and mixes, but I'm hoping to finally create some remixes and even my own songs.
