Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I’m Ryan John Whittaker aka Techno Grime I produce my own music ranging genres from Drum & Bass to House.
How did I get in to the music funny enough I never thought I’d have anything to do with it until started college doing interactive media and a lad was selling a pair of numark turntables messed about a little bit then had a little dabble on some music programs then had some dj tuition and then decided to take a gamble and applied for electronic music production courses at various universities and got asked for interviews and later was offered places so started university for a bit learnt a fair amount but didn’t really go to plan as I became ill and ended being taken to hospital and never went back to university then later went to a college for bit quit and then did a part time electronic music production course for 6 months and actually passed this one and been making music ever since. How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well I would describe my influences as diverse from oasis to old school house music so lively and in your face and a bit Iater I would say skream and benga with their hypnotic melodies and wobbly basslines and just Drum & bass by itself with all the different producers pushing the boundaries of production.
What´s new right now?
Right now I’ve got a few tracks in the pipelines and just experimenting with few different sounds and styles of music could be interesting to hear the finished results taking bit longer than I expected.
