Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
We are The FifthGuys, an Italian EDM duo composed by Giacomo Pavese and Stefano Panelli.
We first met in high school where we started our collaboration as Pave & Steppan, even if we kept working separately at different solo music projects . We decided to work together when we started University, deciding to do something new and different to the past.
We named ourselves "The FifthGuys" in the memory of the last year in high school.
In the last year after 7 months of work, we have crossed more than 600k streams on Youtube, Soundcloud and Spotify: reaching more than 100k on our latests tracks, starting from our release on Hack Records called "Things Went Wrong" ft Ratfoot, premiered as one of the best of the Hack Vol II compilation.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Our style and sound comes from a lot of different genres, but mainly from rock music, funk, blues and EDM. It has been affected a lot during these years. Our goal is to add something inspirational and unconventional in our tracks to give them something unique and uncommon. However, even if we tried to insert in our latests tracks some elements, that are common in commercial songs, we're still mantaining our style from the previouses
