Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
We are Toxic Hearts from Phoenix, AZ. We are a pop duo consisting of vocalist Tyler Fiore & guitarist producer, Ryan Alexander and we both act as songwriters for our music. We have been working together for 3 years, we were in a larger band together which later broke up and we ended up forming Toxic Hearts 2 years ago because we worked together so well and had the same vision as what we wanted to portray with our music. We mainly do pop/rock music with an EDM influence as well. We like to experiment with different genres covering most genres. Our latest single "Better With The Lights Out" shows us trying out some more hard hitting hip hop type music with a pop influence to it.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Ryan: Mine is very eclectic and they’ve changed accordingly with getting older. I think the only way they’ve changed is just a wider variety.
Tyler: I've always been a huge fan of pop music. Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, the whole surge of 90's pop music is what started my love for music. I love EDM, rap, alternative, and rock music. I see myself leaning towards more of the alternative and rock style of music these days. Ryan comes from a mostly pop punk background and he's introduced me to some great pop punk style of music like State Champs and I could see us doing more of that kind of sound in the near future. It's vocally more challenging and the energy of performing it, is why I'm becoming a little more influenced by that style of music. But I'm also still the guy in the corner shamefully playing "Toxic" or "Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears on repeat.
What´s new right now?
After a short break, we released our new single "Better With the Lights Out" just last week. We have a few EDM features coming out soon. We've been working with a lot of producers/DJ's out of the country and have some massive sounding tracks releasing through out the year. We're releasing another new song titled, "Stabbed In The Back" this week and then we have several other songs we're working on as well. Looking at starting to perform our new material and music from our last EP. Follow us on our social media pages to keep up to date on new music and future live shows.
