Please tell us a bit about yourself and your label. Where are you based, what genres & styles do you cover… And when/how how did it all start?
Hey all, Zack from Trap N Chill here! Currently we're based in Philadelphia and we focus on releasing music for up and coming artist or smaller artists we think deserve more attention. Our releases range from rnb, rap, trap, future bass and basically anything you can sit down and really vibe with. Trap N Chill actually started as a generic promo channel for my personal account but I decided to spread the love and re-brand the page. Before music I'm a graphic artist so I was really able to make the page and website exactly how I wanted it to look. After a solid month of re-branding and changing our target audience, Trap N Chill was born!
What are some releases our audience simply must check out? (Either new stuff or evergreen classics)
Some really good stuff we just released is with a newer group called The Swoons, https://soundcloud.com/trapnchill/lost-the-swoons-1 there's great vocals and they're very musically talented… definitely keep a look out for more by them. Are you looking for new artists to sign or collaboration partners? (Be it media partners, remix competitions or otherwise?)
I'm always looking for new artists and people can easily submit through our website here – https://www.trapnchill.co/submit/ we listen to everything and have found some insane talent through over 2,200 submission in just 3 months! I'd also be open to working with other media outlets to reach a bigger audience when I do artist interviews, which we've had some crazy talented people featured in.

Networking. You have to reach out to similar artist and collab or for pages like Trap N Chill find artist that need exposure but are super talented, do releases with them it will help both of you grow.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Managing the submissions has been a challenge as I'm really the only person managing a massive audience so making time for artist relations and setting up releases is challenging but when you find such good talent it's hard to not want to spend all your time supporting it!

How do you personally discover new music?
I have a submission page on my website that stream lines the process for me and make listening worth while. I've found most of my releases this way and some other really good artists!

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
Take your time and get a second opinion. Send your music out, send it to your friends artists you admire, or similar musicians you never know unless you ask, and some constructive criticism from people you know can be really helpful.
