Read the Turbo Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hello, This is Turbo.
I'm an aspiring Music Producer/DJ based in Southern California.
I'm a Melodic Trap Artist and Youtuber who creates live mashup videos.
I'm also just a small person with big dreams, striving every day to get there…
It would mean the world to me if you followed me on my journey.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Some artists who have strongly influenced my music style are: Illenium, Flume, WE ARE FURY, Porter Robinson, and Seven Lions (for my upcoming tracks)

My taste did change over time after being exposed to a lot of Trap, Future Bass, and Melodic Dubstep.
I used to only listen and produce House and Progressive House, but I'm glad my tastes have evolved.

Currently most of my recent released tracks are Future Bass and Trap, however in my upcoming releases I have experimented with a few different genres such as Melodic Dubstep and Jazz.

What´s new right now?

As I have previously mentioned, I do have many upcoming releases in store. I'm just finalizing the mixing, getting vocals on the tracks, and polishing the last bits of them to be ready for release.

I do also have a Music Video that is being created for my track "Imma Bandit" featured in JustTrapMusic CD Compilation vol. 1.

Otherwise, I can't wait to show you all my upcoming music that I have for you. Be sure to follow me on Instagram where I post all my latest updates on all my music and content: @turbosc –

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

Yes, Illenium.
I first discovered him with his remix of Don't Let Me Down. Later after being released constantly on huge music promotion channels such as Trap Nation, MrSuicideSheep, and etc. I kept hearing his work and became obsessed with his music style.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

This isn't a mistake, but I would recommend newcoming artists to make as many tracks as possible consistently and also asking for constructive feedback from more experienced producers to improve as quick as possible.

Once you discovered new music, do you tell others about the new music/artist you discovered? If yes, how exactly?

“I usually play the song out for them in real life and tell them the name of the artist, I post it on my instagram story, send it through SnapChat or Discord, or add it to one of my public music playlists.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?

Use a reference track for your mixdowns.
Every step of the process matters, from the sound design you choose, the layering, the effects, the group effects, to the master.
Make sure each sound is clean from the source, and that each layer/effect has a purpose.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?

Set deadlines, for example – post at least 1 track on Soundcloud per month no matter what.

We meet again in one year. What has changed?

I hope to make it on a large music promotion channel with 1M+ subs.
Currently the biggest promotion channel I've been on is JustTrapMusic with 200k+ subscribers
