Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name is Ufuk Karahan and I call my self Ufuk K.
I started to make beats and music about 8 years ago together with Gregory Dub and we used Fruity Loops Studio at begin. Later on we changed to Ableton and we have bought alot of music gear. Now everyone of us has his own studio.
With Dj Billy Butler from UK we have tested out the program Teamviewer to make collaborations and to our surprise it worked very good, but only digital and without ASIO4All on. After a while, I had the chance to make some great collabos with producers from around the world like: Dee Brown (UK), Dj Billy Butler (UK), NBTJ (NL) and alot more.
At the moment, I use the MPC 2000xl and the Arturia Beatstep Pro as main sequencers for all the gear. Now my favorite genres is House and Breakbeat. The influence of old Jazz and Funk music but also Hip Hop has drawn our way.

Together with Gregory Dub and my brother (Safak) we have created Rare Beats Records and we also started a podcast series.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
When I was young, my taste of music went a hard way. I was totally into Hardcore and Frenchcore music, but with time my taste went a much softer way.
After a while I started to listen to very much different kinds of music such as Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and Downtempo Electronic Music.
What´s new right now?
My next goal is to focus more on djing instead of only producing. Since almost a year I try to learn to play vinyl only sets and it goes a quite nice way now.
We also want to move on with Rare Beats Records and the goal is to bring more releases out.
