Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Well, my name is Servio and I go by the name V.I.O. That's just basically the last three letters of my name with . in between them :-).
I`ll turn 31 this year and I`m based in the Netherlands. As a teenager, I was always into music. Making beats and even rapping was my thing back in those days lol. When I became a father by the age of 23, I stopped making music for a while. In that way I'd had more time to spend with my family. Now, for the past 2 years or so, I've been actively picking up where I left. Been making music again and I started DJ'ing, this time solely focusing on House In 2017 I enjoyed somewhat of a breakthrough year with releases on different labels, awesome gigs and I saw two tracks land in the Traxsource Tech House Top 100. Also I became good friends with fellow DJ and producer Menesix. He has his own label called OVRDOSE Records and I recently joined his team by becoming an A&R manager for his label.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

During my teenage years I was really into hip-hop and R&B. Even to this day, these influences can be heard in my own tracks.
I really have a thing for 90s R&B and hip-hop, which I still listen to. My musical taste did change over the past year. Now I`m enjoying all the different kinds of House and Techno music. I personally think that hiphop and R&B is really degrading these days so I really don't listen to that anymore.

What´s new right now?

I do have some upcoming releases coming through which ya'll should keep an eye out for. As for the label, we have some sick music coming out from upcoming artists such as Fraser Whalen, Jacque Saravante and Alya. Gig-wise it will be a little quiet but that gives me more time to produce.
