Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hither, my name is Pasca van Doezelaar, better known as Wavez. Born inBelgiumfrom Dutch parents, there has always been a musical influence in my life.I started playing piano at the age of 8 years old and have been interested in music ever since. It was only after college that I really got deeper into music an dj'ing. Right now I've been djing for over2 years and I am really enjoying it while learning every day.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years? Do you feel that changing tastes over years as artistic growth? ?
Like I said above, music has bn a hugeinfluence in my life. During my teens I listened lot to indie rock, punk rock etc. It was only around the year 2007 when the electronic music really got to me. Artists such as Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Safri Duo has been huge inspirations for me. Other huge inspirations are Hardwell, Afrojack,…
Although those artists really inspire me, I am a real big fan of the upcoming genres like futurehous, future bass and trap. These genres show that the industry is growing and willalways change thnks to new artists like Mike Williams Don Diablo, The Chainsmokers, Dirty Palm and many more. So they can also be called an inspiration for me.
Lik mentioned before, the scene is always changing so as a DJ yu are constately looking for new, undiscovered gems that can make your mix special. Personaly I can spend hours searching onSoundcloud and Youtube for that one special song that makes me go "wow" in myself.
What´s new right now?
Well right now I starting with prodcing my own songs. This is a real challenge but something I have been dreaming about for years. will mainly be producing Future House and Future bounce, butother genres will also be explored.
Besides the production of music I am busy teaching friends how to become a DJ and showing themwhat the options are when playing live.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
A real big challange is how to be "new" every mix. There is nothing as dull as a DJ that uses the same songs for several mixes in a row. To be "new" every timeI spent a lot of time listening to new tracks and searching for that killer transition.

How do you promote yourself? Do you have any specific promotion tips for other musicians?
Promotion is the key to succes: Create a brand, your brand is the first thing people see.choose a name that suits you and thing about a logo, something that fits the name. There is only one chance to make a first impression to your potential new fan.
