Q:Who are you? |
My Name is Fna Muller. |
Q: The Beginnings – When did you start making electronic music? |
i exchanged my e-guitar for rebirth 1.0. after playing in punkbands for several years i was looking for something different. something that could be realized by myself. the freedom of fooling around with an 808, a 909 and two 303s was simply incredible at that time with that budget and a true eyeopener for in what can be achieved in your bedroom studio. |
Q: What or who inspired you? |
concerning electronic music i was infected by Detroit techno and acid house. from there i took a journey throughout multiple genres and styles.throughout the years i learned that every style holds some interesting aspects that can help you to improve your own interpretation of music. that said, just stay curious and you will stumble over inspiration. |
Q: How would you describe your style? |
deep, moody, haunted, hypnotic |
Q: How was your grasp of the audio engineering & production at this time? How did you learn producing? Is it all self taught, from the internet and tutorials or mentors and teachers? |
when i started i was lucky to met some guys that were quite experienced in musical productions. they shared their knowledge with me . so right from the beginning i learned that the “sound” is equivalent important than the arrangement or the track idea itself.nowadays i really appreciate all the helpful tips shared on the net by so many talented producers. |
Q: Tell us about your setup. Are you using mostly software or hardware these days? |
ableton is the centre of my productions. to generate source material i use nearly equaly hard- and software. |

break – if i am in the mood i go back to 1. if not i quit and do something different |

i just simply asked the owner of bars and clubs if there is any chance to play in their location. i did’t mind if i got payed or if the club was hyped or something. i just wanted to hear my own productions on a real pa. luckily some of them said yes. |
Q: Was it complicated finding a booking agency or clubs to play at and how were the first gigs received? What´s it like on tour for you? |

i don’t have a booker but nevertheless you get to know people over time. my booking strategy is word-of-mouth and friends. |
