Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hey guys! This is Philip, I am 19 and I have been producing electronic dance music under the name '3L3CTRO P3DRO'. I first started out DJing in the 8th-9th Grade with some friends and then started producing music around my sophomore year of high school. I still DJ, just not as much as I used too. And I would say 90% of the time I spent until graduation, was refining my skillset as a producer and It's helped me out a lot, I have seen a major increase in my plays, and fans over these last couple years and I feel like, I've grown with my music, and I've improved and learned more about producing.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well I started out liking artists like Whyel, DJ Bl3nd, but I also listened to Hardstyle / Dubsteps artists. And from there I went to Progressive House and Bigroom, so I listened to a lot of Martin Garrix, Tiesto, and KSHMR. Overall though, I really feel in love with KSHMR because he has such an awesome sound and told stories with each track. Instead of just the typical "four to the floor" house / bigroom track, he always had so many varying instruments and sounds that helped tell whatever story he was going for. But recently in the past year or two I found, San Holo, Taska Black, Droeloe, Vinzere, as well as all the other amazing bitbird artists. And Let me tell you though, those guys, have HEAVILY influenced me. I love all the stuff they put out it's beautiful, inspiring, and just unique. So in my own productions right now, I'm currently trying to produce UNIQUE style trap, future bass, and experimental music. I want to infuse the story telling of KSHMR with San Holo, Taska, Droeloe, and Vinzere's beautiful chords and futuristic sounds and not only have an amazing story but a purpose and something people can connect with.
What´s new right now?
Well as of late, I'm working on a few different projects at the moment and I do not have any set release dates, but they will be coming very soon… I can promise you that.
