Read the ANTAR Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hello, First of all I want to thank everyone who's reading this and specialy thank to traxx24, this is just a really nice opportunity.

My real name its Pau Kin Baldellou. If I had to describe my artist profile I would introduce myself as a Guitar player, Music producer, DJ and a Street Busker.
I was born in a little village in Mexico called Tepoztlán in 1997 but I spend all my life living in Catalonia and occasionally in Belgium.
Nowadays I live in Barcelona, really nice city to be related with music.

I took my first step into music eight years ago when I started playing as a guitarist and singer in a band when I was in secondary School, The Band was called Mind Damage and we started playing pop punk and hard rock kinda stuff.
Guess that we weren't really good, we played more noise than music, but the motivation was a hundred percent there. We played a few gigs in local pubs and places though.

Later on I discovered Electronic music like six years ago and I began mixing and playing music as a Dj, didn't take too long to come upon Musical production and realize the immensity of possibilities that producing your own songs can give you.
Spend like four months in SAE Institute learning Music production and Audio Engineering, had to leave it because I couldn't afford the course. Was brief but intense anyways.

And here's when we finish with the time travelling.
Nowadays you can find me by the name of Humö Prod. or ANTAR.
(Humo means smoke in Spanish, I think this is a little bit self explanatory. And ANTAR I the name of my Mexican Uncle who had a history that made me choose this name in his memory)

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Sure I've changed my taste, a lot.

From my point of view, the way I conceive music is like two different worlds related in between each other; Music as a product or tool and music as a way of expression and communication in between people and emotions I could say.
I do really enjoy music t'ill its maximum point I've always listened to an extense variety of styles and approaches always with a Criterium and an analytical vision.

Since I Started to have use of sense, I listened to Rock and Roll, Folk, Indie, little bit of flamenco I've been raised listening to Van Morrison, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, Cece Giannotti and many others, some Spanish artists as well, such as Kiko Veneno, Macaco (in the very first albums), Ojos de Brujo (first albums also) etc.
in my adolescence, I started to listen more rock and roll kind of stuff like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and a long etcetera, until I discovered Hip Hop and later Electronic Music styles such as uptempo, Psychedelic Trance and Techno.

When I started playing music as a DJ and Producer I left playing guitar progressively, Until I discovered Ben Howard's music thank to a local Busker, that was like three years ago.
And from that beyond I never stopped playing guitar more than a few hours.

All of this fusion of styles and musical variety build my music approach as an attempt of mixing this both worlds I said before.

What´s new right now?

I Would Say everything, no joke.
One of the biggest problems I had in my musical career was loosing my computer hard drive with all my projects, songs, samples virtual instruments, etc. (luckily didn't lose my head) that happened two years ago, and since then I've been trying to put all of my things Back together again.
Finally, I can say I recovered almost completely, even better, I have changed so much during these years and my style of doing things as well.
Now I see it as some clean up sort of thing.

The last two years of my life I really focused on getting new knowledge and gear, now I have a "studio" in my room and few useful connections with really nice people from this world.
I Have a Project, producing music mixing two different kinds of style. Putting together Guitars, Electric Bass, Pianos and analog instruments with the more actual scene, using Maschine for the beats and many tools for Audio Processing trying to be continuously improving the sound quality.

I Have many Projects on logic and Ableton from many styles like soul, reggae, hip hop, trap (chill), and Underground electronic music that I want to share with the world, lately I've been more serious with this and I'm starting to come up with some good quality tunes I consider.
I want to finish all of them and do a Record, maybe more than one at the time.

I'm Working in this moment with some local bands from Barcelona and from south America and I'm trying to expand my action area.
Really opened to collaborations in any style by the way.
Opened to any booking for gigs as well!
