Read the Basso Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

For those who do not know me, my name is Eduardo Basso. I am a DJ and a musical producer from a city in the south of Brazil called Santa Maria. I started working with music very early, playing guitar in Rock and Metal bands since 2011, the same time I discovered the passion for Music Production and electronic music. I have been developing my work with the ''Basso'' project for 3 years in the PsyTrance scene and I also organize some festivals in the region such as Boombeats, Full Moon and Tronic. I started playing a more progressive PsyTrance line around 138/145BPMs, which originated my earliest Tracks as ''Fly Machine'':

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

After a few years researching and getting to know my own tastes more and more, I have produced and played a line of PsyTrance morning, more accelerated than before, style that varied from 145 to 150BPMs, perfect for the dawn of festivals. In the sets I play I play tracks from great artists like Aardvarkk, Audioiboa, Kala, Braincell, Fungus Funk, Parasect, Leopardtron, ZZBing… Mixed to new productions being shaped pro launching and some old productions like ''Ganapati'':

Other musical styles like Rock n Roll, Reggae, Rap, Acid and even the Jazz are part of my daily life and influence with certainty my way of making music. Nowadays I am an academic of the Music and Technology course at the Federal University of Santa Maria and therefore I have heard a lot of classical and old music as a means of study.

What´s new right now?

Today I represent the nucleus of artists ESPIRAL, a festival that grows more and more in the south of Brazil and has influenced my career a lot. I have works released by Phantom Unit Records, an independent label that sells its tracks on its own website and now has a new Author Radio where I play on a weekly show.
Recently I released a psychedelic Podcast by the Japanese label Fusiondelic Records, a record label that I have created an incredible partnership and will still bear great fruit.

I'm working on 2 albums, a solo album called '' Futurist Manifesto '' which features 7 tracks, 4 unreleased tracks and 3 remastered tracks and a Collab EP called '' Fluorescent '' which I produced with four great friends: Plastic Life, Fractal Joke, NWolf and Cassel. I'm really happy with all the Tracks coming out there, and doing collabs is always a great way to learn a lot of new things within production.

For LOWBPM lovers, I recently released my new parallel project called BILLS, which explores a unique Techno line with influences from dance music in general, it's also worth knowing:

oon other releases will be released by major labels that I can not count on yet. I invite everyone to follow the news in my social media!

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

Do not bother to launch your Tracks fast. The best way to shape them is by playing live and they will not even know it's yours. By doing this you have the opportunity to produce again everything you feel has not done so much on the track. I have tracks that I have produced 4 or 5 months ago and I'm still playing them to see how to leave them in the best way, so that I can launch my Live in the best way.
