Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hey guys this is Erick, but as stage name I go by D3adtrik and I've been producing Melbourne bounce music. I'm currently 22 years old. Im from Peru but Living in Washington D.C. I struggle through life when Incas young but music was a way to free my mind and forget about reality. we move places to places with my mom and I. I went through a though childhood but when I turn 15 I tried making some beats on fruity loops also know as fl studio I was like amaze but it sounded so bad that my friends said it was horrible that you should never do music. they put my feelings down even teachers made fun of me and laugh at me. when I was separated from my mom it was hard, but when my mother fought back so I cane with her that made me realize if she don't give up on me then why should I quit. mother told me don't give up and just keep your mind to it. after seen my mom motivate me it got me into the music more. everyday I sat on my crappy laptop and work with making tracks even if they were terrible every single day I was like with ideas. during my middle school year my aunt introduce me to a clown who need someone to dj for his shows and I said yeah. we became really good friends after few years when I turn 17 I listen to my first Melbourne track which it was from will sparks called Phoenix. my mother showed me I was like damn but I've started searching the genre and got me hooked. during that time I saved up my money to get my first official Mac laptop and work tracks during my free time. in the end of the year I finish a remix and decided to send it to bam radio but I didn't get any hopes up because I thought hey would never like my remix and after 2 weeks tops they listen to it and send me an email that my track was gonna be played on their radio as a promo I was super happy no words to describe it. from that day my life changed because it gave me so much confident and more energy and then by little by little I started getting support from bpm radio Australia, uberjakd podcast, blitz radio and many more.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well I haven't met any of my influences yet but, I've talk to them. Some of them follow me through twitter and Soundcloud. Its really amazing because they send me love by playing my demos through their podcast and live performance.
What´s new right now?
Right now I'm working on releasing another edit pack because our first pack we release we got so many support and love. My team & I are working on a small tour in Asia, Bangkok. I have never been there this will be my first time which I'm super excited. I'm just working hard to get into some new records but anything besides that just living a nice life with family.
