Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I'm Joseph Darryl Gaulbert Also Known by my Stage Name 'D&G' i'm a professional 'DJ and Electronic Music Producer Based in Kochi, a small town situated in the (so called) 'Gods Own Country' – Kerala, India.
Ever since i fell in love with Djing, it became my passion, Playing loud music in my room and pretending to be a DJ became a thing, so i decided to start my DJing carrier when i was 17,
I Started off as a Bed-Room DJ to become one of the best and well known DJ's in the town.
I was Ranked #1 in the national charts by Reverb-nation (3 weeks in a row).
I've gone on to Perform in many Well Renowned Places in my state and across country.
I've also bagged Numerous amount of DJ Awards.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I grew up listening to a lot of country and rock and roll music, i'm a huge fan of 'Michael Jackson' so he is a big influence in my life, but over time as i grew i started listening to more 'Hip-Hop, Pop and Rn B which then lead to 'Dance Music' at the time i didn't really know it was called "Dance Music" it was the music which dj's played, but i used to listen to a lot of 'Daft Punk' and Tiesto, Daft Punk's record 'Robot Rock' was something that got me into the dance music scene later on it lead to the main stream in the EDM scene, where i discovered 'Hardwell' who is still one of my biggest influences,
What´s new right now?
I have a duo project called 'KLTURE' where i produce Electronic music along with my partner 'Akhil Sebastian' we have released few tracks in 2017, our latest release was 'Lost in My Mind' which was released on a Dutch label called 'Sick bedroom records' it Entered the top 50 on Beatport top 50 List. we are also working on numerous tracks at the time which is set to release soon.
