Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I'm a hardstyle and hard dance producer from San Francisco. I've been producing since the end of 2014 and have produced tracks across a number of genres, including house, twerk, and trap before coming to hardstyle.
I recently released "Tangle," a hard dance song with trap influences:

I've got a lot of music queued up for 2018, including a remix of Adele's "Someone Like You" and a number of DJ mixes. I'm looking forward to sharing those with all of you!
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
When I started producing, I listened to a lot of house and modeled some of my sounds after artists like Hardwell and Swedish House Mafia.
As I kept exploring the incredible breadth of electronic music, I found myself drawn to harder and more bass-heavy styles. I started listening to a ton of trap and hardstyle and have followed the evolution of those genres very closely. Right now, some of my favorite artists are LNY TNZ, Kayzo, Bass Modulators, Da Tweekaz.
At the same time, I really like artists that bring together unique sounds from outside of electronic music in a fun way- specifically, Diplo and Dillon Francis come to mind. I try to incorporate sounds similar to theirs in some of my tracks as well.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
I spent a long time playing around with different ideas without actually finishing a track and releasing it to the public. In retrospect, I'd have learned and progressed much faster if I'd just finished a song and gotten other people to listen to it. My day job is in software, and the advice I'd give is pretty common in software as well- release early and release often. You don't really know how good your music is and how you need to improve it until you've had other people listen to it.

How do you personally discover new music?
Soundcloud's related tracks feature has gotten a lot better recently, so I've been using that more. I also spend a lot of time listening to Youtube mixes to discover new tracks.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
In addition to releasing and getting feedback, I'd recommend spending a lot of time actively listening to songs, breaking down their arrangement, composition, and sound design, and comparing tracks to your own. You can learn an incredible amount from studying the works of other artists.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?
I follow a pretty iterative process. I run through my track many times narrowing the list of things I need to change until I feel good about the finished product. Eventually you just need to take a leap of faith and release the track.
