Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hello, it's me, Den Calys a Belgian artist Techno and Minimal.
You may be wondering why Den Calys? it's quite simple, it's a grouping of the names of my children, Eden Camille and Alysse.
It's been 4 years now that I'm in the world of music, I mix on all support (controller and turntable).
It's an incredible and unexpected encounter that really started me using a controller and vinyl turntables, it's now a friend in life, it's
M@rio C.
Since then I mixed in many parties and some big names like the famous DJ Oxia and Nakadia and I want to thank the organization Wild Side for allowing me and for having done the honor of mixing in warm up for these 2 famous DJs.
I'm also part of an organization called "Teuf Moutarde", it's a group of local dj where the mix most often on turntable.
I am currently working on a personal project, different tracks are now under construction.
When will they be ready? when I really sastisfait each sound and it's very complicated because I'm quite a perfectionist.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My tastes have changed a lot since the years, at the beginning I was really stuck on the new generation of electronic music: the EDM.
This is especially my friend Mario who gently made me appreciate the underground world of the house of techno and minimal.
Since I am a huge fan of techno and minimal and I am looking for new sounds every day
I am now an absolute fan of the genius Boris Brejcha, for me he really has an incredible style and completely supernatural sounds.
Regarding the labels, I like Drumcode who have a huge numbers of DJ out of the common and out a crazy number of super tracks.
there are Senso sounds and Kraftek that I also enjoy.
I also love my compratiotes Belgian Charlotte de witte and Amelie Lens.
What´s new right now?
So yes, as I said before I work on a personal project "manta".
I already have 3 tracks in the box and I work constantly on other tracks.
I try to bring my influences between minimal and techno.
When will it be available? good question, very quickly I hope but I would really like to go out a few things of clean and really worked well.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
I'm really fan of Daft punk of course ! since I'm a kid
I'm a big big fan Of Genius Boris Brejcha. I find him incredible and the most talented of the last years
I like also Charlotte de Witte , Amelie Lens , Cirez D, Adam Beyer, and a lot of others artist

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Big mistake ? yes, now with time i can say play EDM music are a big mistake !
otherwise I'm pretty proud of the way I've already traveled.
And if I have a tip to give to new artists is never to give up and that only work pays! the satisafaction that it brings you really gives you wings and gives you the desire to do even more and even better

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
One of my biggest challenge was to be able to mix on turntables and slowly but surely I start to hang a lot of fun mixing on turntables, it shows I think another of my strengths: my way to learn quickly and especially to prove that I'm not a simple DJ on controller like most new dj and I can offer a real mix on the old vinyl.
And I'm pretty proud to have been able to do the warm up of the famous DJ Oxia, it was a pretty incredible time to meet him and to have learned to contact him.
I was also able to meet other famous DJs, but the strongest encounters were probably with legend Dave Clarke and the talented Boys noize. all these meetings it's Wild Side again that I have to thank.
