Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hello! My name is Cedric. My stage name is "DJ Ceddy" or just "Ceddy".
I am a support analyst by day, DJ by night.
I am a part time mobile DJ who loves playing music for special weddings and house parties for his friends and family.
I also make random electronic dance/fun tunes from my head and heart and share it with the world.
My soundcloud link shows with a suffix of "SA" so that it distinguishes me from the competition.
I am one of a kind in South Africa, being a class of a term named "SABC" = That is "South African Born Chinese". We have a TV channel in South Africa that is called that too ? LOL.
As a DJ/Artist, I like to create emotional moments when I play a set. I want the crowd to be effected with meaningful drops and pauses.
In my spare time, I like to create and produce my own fun,quirky audio tracks with my friends who love to do music (ie sing, rap, play guitar, covers)

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

What I find currently new in the music scene is a fusion of different musical styles from opposite genres. I always like that and that is what brought me into DJing in the first place. But now days it is on a higher level. For example… A rap artist will be doing music with an electronic and live instrumental producer. I have never seen that before until now. It was always a rock band instrumento of some sort to work with. That prime example was Linkin Park who started changing the scene.
Then there are Indian singing influences into edm culture, which I have never seen before. Viday Vox has now made it fresh and unique.

What´s new right now?

New production audio projects I am working on is in respect to making hip hop tracks with a church singer. And then a good friend of mine from long time university study days has just reconnected with me after a few years. She has written two new rap songs with inspiring lyrics. She needs me to bring that song from paper to life with a back track and vocal.

Besides Practice, deliver in stages. You can never finish a track in one go. Do it via micro point of view and keep then a macro view.
