Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I'm Eric Rodriguez, an EDM producer from Spain. I'm not like the majority of the artists and I try to make tracks in more than one style, for example, I have tracks in the genre of bigroom, future bass/trap, hardstyle but my main genre is progressive house, this is the one I like the most.

My tracks had been supported by people like Beatjunkx, Mosimann, Zack Martino, ANG, Arcando or GARABATTO, but also from Youtube channels like Nik Cooper.

For instance, one of my tracks that went kinda famous is my bootleg of KSHMR – Dhoom, that was uploaded by Nik Cooper and got lot of plays on Soundcloud and Youtube.

You can listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/ericrodriguezofficial/dhoom-eric-rodriguez-bootleg

But the thing that I liked the most so far has been to have a song as the anthem of a french festival were people like W&W, Don Diablo and Martin Solveig played.

You can listen to that anthem here: https://soundcloud.com/ericrodriguezofficial/unbreakable

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I like all kinds of music, I can be listening to a spanish punk rock song and then change to some progressive house or to rap. I think I have influences from all of those styles of music but when I'm producing I try to get inspiration from people that I like inside the scene like Dubvision, Julian Calor or Third Party.

As EDM is always changing and every half a year a new genre gets famous I changed my taste, but I don't really think I changed my own style because of this.

What´s new right now?

This year I'm more focused than ever on production because I'm finishing my degree and I have more free time now.

I'm working on different things and I have a track that is getting good feedback from big artists, but I can't say anything.

The thing that got me from a level to a completely different one was to use reference tracks from big artists and compare every single thing they had on their track with the one I had on mine.
