Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hey there!
I am Hydrize, a 24 years old italian guy mainly producing dubstep along with music that ranges from retrowave/synthpop to trap and future bass. I always tend to experiment in music, merging different styles together and trying to make something unique and original, usually focusing on melodic intros and heavy drops.
My interest for music started when I got my first keyboard as a gift for 6th birthday; I learned playing it self-taught and thanks to the advices of my grandfather (a really good musician, piano and accordion player) I was introduced to music theory.
Then, at the age of 12, I started creating my own music without any sequencer or DAW but just with my keyboard, recording it on some audio tapes (still have few of them somewhere!).
2 years later I got my first PC and that is when I started making music using Fl Studio and publishing my first tracks on the internet (fun fact: I got 2 other alias for several years before choosing for Hydrize). At that time, my music was not focused on Dubstep yet but just on generic EDM and kind of synthpop.
Since then, I started taking music production seriously only 4-5 years later when I decided to improve my knowledges and production skills by studying on my own from books and tutorials found on the internet.
In the following years until now, I made lots of music but what makes me enthusiast is the network of good friends I made from all around the world thanks to the music.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well, I grew up listening to progressive rock and new wave but in general I always loved music from 70s and 80s coming from bands such as Genesis, The Cure, Ultravox, ELP, Camel and many many others.
My interest for electronic dance music started after discovering Deadmau5 and few others producers. Some years later I found Skrillex and Zomboy, the ones that made me fall in love with dubstep.
It is difficult to say if my taste changed over time because I still love the music I grew up with; in addition it would be hard choosing who influences me the most because I currently listen to a wide variety of artists ranging from so many music genres.
A dubstep producer whit whom I am currently in love with is Soltan! I go crazy for his style and definitely influences me!

Currently I have a huge number of unreleased tracks and I am planning to release a new EP during this year. Other tracks are in the making. Let's see what happens!
