Read the JackEL Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

My name is JackEL. I'm a music producer for most genres, mainly Dance / EDM & Hip Hop. I also DJ. I was born in Canada and moved to Las Vegas to pursue music. I founded FVYDID a record label, music collective based in Vegas.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I get inspired by many things in life. My Friends, my family, and of course mainstream media and mainstream artists. I've always been realy inspired by sounds and when I was 13 and started getting into Dance music it really changed me. I've always looked up to Deadmau5 for his brand and his label. My taste and inspirations change daily, maybe even faster haha.

What´s new right now?

2017 was a great year but 2018 FVYDID and I started off really hard and we're not slowing down.
I've DJ'd at Beauty Bar, The Nerd LV for the official AVN After Party, NAMM 2018 in Anaheim and this year is just starting. Slicklife released his single Who Cares (feat. JackEL) and we've been promoting that hard! Our last collab got over 300k streams which is impressive for Slicklifes first single on FVYDID.
The universe sent JTruthPA my way this year and we just dropped our first collab Change The World.
Jay Styles just dropped my future house remix to his song I Like The Way You Move (JackEL Remix) and that songs blowing up already!
VIP one of my favorite rappers in Las Vegas just dropped his EP "Slowly But Surely" which I produced. That took us a good while to finalize that and we're both stoked it's finally out!

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

Making mistakes is a great thing, but making the same mistakes over and over is a problem. Learn from your mistakes so you don't keep making them.
I'd say get your workflow on point so when you hop in the studio it's a quick sesh.

How do you personally discover new music?

As a DJ myself I use BEATPORT whenever possible to buy my music I use so it is tracked, it pays the artist, and I get the WAV quality track. I usually use Soundcloud to find the tunes or Beatport charts. I follow specific labels closely.

Once you discovered new music, do you tell others about the new music/artist you discovered? If yes, how exactly?

“Yes, I have a radio show called The FVYDID Podcast on iTunes in which we are promoting new music all the time. I personally don't care if a song gets 1 play or 1 million plays, it's all about how it sounds.

We meet again in one year. What has changed?

In 12 months I will have more original content out with big feature artists, more festival gigs, more international club gigs.
I want to DJ and showcase FVYDID and I's music all around the world.
I want to be opening up for The Chainsmokers on tour.
