Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi to all.I'm Kova? Boštjan aka Kaizer The Dj from Hrastnik/ Slovenia.Dj/Producer/Remixer/Label owner.My beginnings started long ago as a school dj at elementary school in 8th grade(1988) From that point I started as commercial dj in the local clubs till 1992 when I went to in my country at that time obligatory military service.When i came back I didn't go any further because i realized that i dont want to play commercial music anymor.Somewhere around 1997-1998 when rave culture began to develop a litle bit more in Slovenia i remember my first visit in legendary club Ambasada Gavioli-Izola…. my passion for dj-ing start grow again but breakin point for start was in 1999 when i was on vacation on magic island Ibiza.From that time i'm a Techno dj.In 2006 i start to learn production but my journey as a producer began in 2013 when my first EP came out on Sound Lab label.In these nearly 5 years of production i had more then 150 releases on the several labels such as Finder Records,Oxytech Records,Teksession Records,Black Drop,Ushuaia Music,Subwoofer Records,Vortex Recordings,Physical Techno Recordings,Society Music Recordings,Free Spirit Records,LW Recordings,Big Punch Records,NTH 2015,Technz Records,Fat Sounds Lab and more…i leave you link of my Beatport profile where you can listen & buy my tracks and link of my mixcloud profile where you can listen my more then 100 mixes mostly from radio show's where a work as a resident dj.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well i had too many influences from Rap,Hip hop,House,Acid House,Techno,Trance etc….too much to list them so i will tell you like this…i'm a 80's kid on my opinion from the period of best music.I had luck that i was a teenager when Acid House & Techno started.So it change a lot thru those years.Now im on Techno,Hardtechno & last 3 years on Dark Techno production.
What´s new right now?
Ohh i have lot of new upcoming releases on different labels & of cource on my brand new label Newra Records which will officialy started 17.2.2018 with 1st release titled In My Ep from GSM (Gwerk Sound Movement-which is basicaly my second artist name) with some remixes.So stay tuned…2018 will be great year.
