Hello Everyone, I'm Karthik Rai Better known as KAT-RICK
I was born in Manipal, (IN)1995.
My Passion for music started in Late 2009 when i used to listen to House Music & Dirty Dutch Tunes,
also moved on listening to the new trend of music on the internet at my early school days and discovered Edm's big artists
Like Blasterjaxx, Nicky Romero, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Many More
I started to experiment and make music in early 2012,
And then i looked into tutorials and grasped knowledge about D.A.W.
As a beginner my Digital Audio Workstation was Fruity Loops
i started experimenting with sounds and meanwhile improving my sound design techniques watching tutorials online,
It took a while for me to make a stand and understand music production.
My first Result came up in 2015 When my music for the first time got signed by a Netherlands based Record Label
Where i also got supports for the same tune by many well know Main stage DJs & Producers
since then I've been producing so far, Improving myself with music
Spreading My Music worldwide. I can say that i am proud of myself cause i worked really hard throughout where my family background is not into music, And now it feels happy when it pays Off !
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Well,
I was a core listener of Bollywood Music which was pretty much influenced by house music at the early stages of 2009 and then i moved on listening to the club music, Bootlegs, Remixed retro tunes which got me to the main scene of Electronic Dance Music !
Watching those main stage DJs play Huge tunes created an urge in me to produce such music at that time, As i said i started using Fl Studio, Tutorials got me to the loop and i started producing House music, Which i never outsourced, as i had to improve in it, Later on discovering into the new trend i started making Electro House bootlegs and Original Mixes and then I Started working on the mainstream festival Bigroom House Music Which has been my favourite subgenre till date.
What´s new right now?
I can say that I've got 2 Releases lined up in February 2018 and lot more
to come this year, So guys please keep an eye on my Facebook page.
and about the gigs, i am little into the local private scene, Where i play gigs at the local Nightclubs
Looking forward to get signed by a well known Dance Music Festival this year hopefully.
