Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Turntablist, Producer, Hip Hop head, and Underground Music lover alike, Kidd Love is straight out of New Orleans, and proud to say it. When not performing with local, and big name artist, or battling in world renown DJ competitions like, Red Bull Threestyle, or DMC, he spends his time deep in his studies inside his laboratory developing new material.
On a daily basis Kidd is constantly experimenting, and working on creating new, timeless music. Whether it be vintage, analog outboard gear, or new age digital gear, his sound design knows no rules. His biggest fear is known to be wack snares. Constructing, and building new routines for both battles, and club dance floors, he is a true student to his craft.
Having spent many years alone in his bedroom practicing, and rocking house parties, he went onto rocking stages for crowds, and dance floors from DJ booths. Performing, and holding residencies at underground late night spots, and major local night clubs such as Republic, Bourbon Heat, Ampersand, and Dragons Den, Kidd has had a lot of time to develop his style, sound and technique. He is an old soul, in a new pair of kicks.
For him, it’s all about the wreck. The raw emotion you feel from his selection and delivery of tracks that have your neck hurting and head nodding without you realizing it. Kidd knows no boundaries of genre, tempo, or release date. Miss him with the bullshit, and find him in the cut.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I wouldn't say that my taste changed, i would say i started to taste new things, and being so my choice of selection became broader.

What´s new right now?

Im working constantly on new projects, but as of late i been focusing on my new live show called " transmi$$ion.X " . All live visual, analog, digital, electronic freak show of selection. Its a performance, its a show, its whatever you want it to be besides corny. I also have a 2 labels dropping closer to the end of the year, along iwth a LIVE electro project w/ XUPTOUR. Lots to come just stay tuned.
