Love Drugz

Read the Love Drugz Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hi, its nice to meet you, I guest I'll begin with some background into the individuals then about what we do a little…

Love Drugz was conceived by a brother (Zayn – lips & teeth) and sister (Rayne – eyes) in Croydon, South London.

We are virtual.
But one day will be born and seen in the flesh.
We do many things. We are a split flower that breathes and oscillates.

Zayn (lips & teeth) is the voice of the band, he is shy but angry, and releases all his emotion through his voice, sometimes it is unaccompanied. He is a disturbed person. He hates, he feels, he burns inside. He has experienced pain. But he is not alone, for his twin sister is with him always. He is not comfortable with himself, but the screaming helps to rationalise things.

Rayne Rayney Rayne (eyes) – Her slow slow moving eyes, dissecting you, tearing you apart. Rayne is the spirit. She suffers from schizophrenia, but is somehow comfortable in her skin. She guitars with her slow moving eyes.

It's the eyes It's the eyes Slow moving eyes I'm laid out on the table For you to excavate me The hands I knock away But both eyes to the end of days. Inspecting Expanding feelers Just inspect ME
You won't ever climb inside And see what shines Between 3 shut eyes IM YOURS IM YOURS You can decipher me But not

Our music is an experience. It can be listened through,
Or it can be viewed,

We began in 2014 when we started writing our first EP, host. This is real and lucid, it took years to come together, and is still so raw and energetic. Each word is significant. This can be found on Spotty fye, or anywhere really, download it from the Amazon rainforest?
This is our love, this is our passion, this is our world,

At some point in 2016 we turned down a new road, and started to be a visual performing act also, the lyrics disappear for the RPG Sessions. Reborn, with new skin and new eyes, we were,

If you can't sleep tonight then Love Drugz are here to assist,

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

We began listening to kettles boil and sitting between train tracks listening to the grinding noises. Zayn spent some time working on a building site in 2013 which really informed the sound of his vocals – the yells, the screams, the grunts – masculinity, what is it? who is Zayn? Maybe he just likes sweet soft things and scented candles, that's real to him.

Rayne traversed grunge and through her latter years as an adolescent, the Soundgardens, the Alices in Chainses, the Pearl Jams. Love Brett SixtySix… But the most recent influences have been the likes of London's very own, Stormzy, Kano etc. Also some east coast rappers ho99o9 are up top, and some west coast ones, Underachievers, Hoddy, the Young Jedi, Earl Sweatshirt, Chester Watson, Busdriver, Quelle Chris, Senor Benedick the Moor etc. She always loved the Sevenfold of Vengeance and the Slip of the Knot. Randy Rhoads. Ozzy of course. Lady Gaga, one of the greatest mm.

Check it out, this'll answer the question better-

We are traversing right through different things right now, I guess that leads to your next question regarding what's coming up next…

What´s new right now?

We shall see… RPG Sessions Season 2 is coming to an end this weekend, with a final track that features the great saussie Brett Sixty Six himself.

We are in the process of forming a live band to start touring in London you see.. And then we may work on some new material

Get in touch if you know of anyone who'd like to get involved. We'd need a live drummer – also open to rappers, electronic musicians, and others, we'll see what happens..

We'll leave you with this

Thanks for your time!
