Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
We are up and coming pop/ rock/ classical music group "Messengers of Compassion", writing songs about relationships, social issues, humanistic values, etc. We believe in the power of art & music to express, reflect & improve our lives. But if it's not true & we are powerless, we still have to write those songs & try to share them with the audience, because…because of that constant inner urge. Our motto is: "Compassion through Music", where by Compassion we understand including but not limited to kindness, peaceful coexistence, friendliness, understanding, acceptance, etc., which is might be even more important than the music.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
We try to listen & understand every genre, age, style & kind of music. We find some music that we like in every generation, starting from the Middle Ages. We think that music has its own language/ story, beyond the words or depiction of emotions, sort of "Absolute Music". So our taste & influence are very eclectic & diverse, but except the obvious pop-rock option, we want to mention the orchestral music of 19th century & later. The taste didn't change, it's expanding & extending as we listen to more & more different musics.
What´s new right now?
We've got this interview invitation few days before the release of our new song, so it was kind of a sign & we are very grateful for this opportunity to share our work. You see…during our lives we witnessed a lot of fightings, sufferings, violence, pain, war…& sometimes we feel that it's difficult to share our "regular" songs, when there's still a real threat of Real War or even when the Real War is already happening right now in some areas of the world. As much as we like music, we feel that w/o Peace, w/o Life- we cannot write anything or listen to any new music. Maybe we can, & we just don't know it yet, but in any case we believe that the Life is meant to be lived & not killed, so we had to write this song "Imagine Peace", inspired of course by the extraordinary "Imagine" by John Lennon. We'd like you to listen to it, but we need to apologize for our poor vocal abilities: we right music & lyrics, but we do not have the gift of singing. Anyone who wants to sing it, is welcome to send us their version. Of course we'd be happy for any support of our work- money, food, books, Nature retreats or Peace in your home & mind. You are invited to share any ideas, advices, stories, etc. with us. Thank you for your attention!

Do you have insights on how to grow your audience on soundcloud that you want to share with our audience?
The launch of repostexchange.com is a wonderful free help to grow your audience. But we think that it's about time that someone will create a music website that will connect the artists primarily with the audience & not only mostly musicians, because today most of regular music lovers find their music on youtube or online radios & don't have the time to explore other areas online. Maybe this site could setup some raffle from the advertisement money, so the listeners will not only listen to new music & support ordinary folks like themselves, but also sometimes will win serious money.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
Listening of course. w/o looking, unless it's a score. Listening very attentively to the whole piece & even more times & attention to the parts that you especially like. First learn from the music that you Really love, then from the music that others teach you. Then of course it's a very good idea to take certain part of the instrumentation: bass phrase, motif, chord progression, drum pattern, etc. & then on the basis of that "quote" build your own ideas.
