I’m Mikey Rotten a artist / rapper from Louisiana, USA raised in Indianapolis Indiana and now resides in Los Angeles, CA. I do Punk Rock influenced music from rock to rap infusing the metal and punk rock energies and essences.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Growing up i found my self in the underground band scene being influenced by bands from Senses Fail to Minor Threat to XLifeRuinerX. As i got older i found more influence in the Experimental beat music, Bass Music, and HipHop scene and found my self getting more and more into music production and Djing. In my more recent years i found my self getting into the new underground soundcloud rap music such as $uicideboy$, Bones, Xavier Wulf ,Eddy Baker, and Chris Travis that carried the same energies as the band music i grew up on… I was inspired.
What´s new right now?
Currently i just dropped a new project called “Rot In Pleasure” (RIP) with Featured from Eddy Baker and have followed up with a collaboration track with Xxaniii and EmptyKoffin. Im Currently working on a slightly Rap influenced Punk Rock album with the guitarist from the Hardcore Punk band Chemical X.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
I used to only make tunes when feeling extremely inspired but you become better and find more inspiration and ideas through hard work and dedication. If nothing less you’ll always get better by making more music.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Confidence and Faith are always hard to hold strong sometimes, but i tend to try to believe in my self even when there is no light in the tunnel. I always told my self… Im ganna make something happen or die trying!
