Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hello, I go by Queen D and I'm a guitar player, bass player, and keyboardist. I've been making music for around a year and a half but only in the last few months have I been releasing my music–in that time I have completed several songs. I program the drums and then play guitar and bass on top of them, sometimes adding in sound samples and keys as well. I have currently released two full-length demos, entitled M-Maybe and 432 Blue. Almost all of the instruments except for the drums have been written and played by me. My third demo, entitled From the Arsenal, is coming out soon. I have released a couple of tracks for it so far and it is the most work I've put into a project to date. Below are a few of my favorite songs I've made–the first two are from the upcoming From the Arsenal project, and the rest are from my two previously released demos.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My influences are pretty varied but most remain in the metal and progressive rock categories. Though I do listen to rap, electronic, classical, and other genres, I mainly stick to rock and metal. Bands I listen to include Tool, Mastodon, the Melvins, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, Mr. Bungle, King Crimson, and so on. I've always liked rock music but my tastes have gotten heavier and more experimental over time.

What´s new right now?

I don't perform live as I don't have a band at the moment–I have played with a few friends but no band has come out of these 'jam sessions.' I'm really excited for my next release, From the Arsenal, to come out in full.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

Finding musicians to collaborate with–I've had a few reach out but nothing truly permanent. I've worked on playing more instruments as a result to make my music better without needing to work with others most of the time.
