Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name is Robert Crawford, I am an 18 year old music producer from Toronto, Canada. I have been producing for a few years but have never really put out music for creative reasons. I have recently put out one song that I was confident enough to share with friends and family, It was said to have a "Medasin Vibe" https://soundcloud.com/robert-crawford-111057087/rjmorrow-lights
This kind of style of music is something I have always admired and tried to achieve over my years of producing. It's no where near where i want it to be but I am extremely satisfied with what I have now.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My biggest influences have definitely been Ramzoid, Flume, and Medasin. The feeling's and vibes i get from their music are unmatched by pretty much anyone I have listened too. They experiment with so many different sounds and it is just mesmerizing what they can do
I used to be heavy into rock music, even being a drummer in a small band from highschool. But one thing led to another and I had to leave that band.
After my rock phase is when i discovered flume, and was immediately hooked on his music, I was lucky enough to see him live this past summer at wayhome 2017, it was everything I had dreamed of. After discovering Flume I would go on to find Medasin and Ramzoid, they really started my passion for producing and creating new sounds. Since then it's been like a drug and I'm definitely addicted.
What´s new right now?
I hope to be releasing more music in the near future, now finally discovering my sound and how to achieve the style of music I want to be known for, I'll also be focusing on photography and other art's.
