Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I go by ZXX. Been producing music and DJing since the age of 12 back in 2000. Most known with my electro house collaborations with Paul Anthony. I currently do underground electronic music, mainly house music and techno. Some of my biggest tracks include bootlegs of Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Ludacris, and an electro track Sex 101. Some other big projects was CZR, Paul Anthony, ZXX "Understand" on Laidback Luke's Mixmash. I have DJed across America, mainly in Illinois, California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana. I have received support for my tracks from David Guetta, Afrojack, Tiesto, Laidback Luke, Carl Cox, Steve Angello, Robbie Rivera, to name a few.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
The number one influence had to be from Bad Boy Bill from Chicago, and DJs that spun electronic music on the radio station B96. Some of my favorite DJ mixes from Bad Boy Bill include the Bangin the Box series and Behind the Decks DVD. As I grew, I became familiar with Steve Angello, Axwell, and Ingrosso's earlier stuff which was epic. I began with peak hour disco house, moved to electro house around 2009, did slowed down electronica afterwards during 2012, and then came back to underground house music and techno. I also spin trap and future bass from time to time.
What´s new right now?
I was privileged to finally work with my biggest influences, Bad Boy Bill, along with the new house group Gettoblaster, on a few tunes. Biggest one being played across Chicago is "Pimpin' Hoes" featuring DJ Dagwood. Currently got solo projects and collaborations with Gettoblaster being played by DJ Deeon, Kid Enigma, Luciano, Sirus Hood, RESET!, Shiba San, Patrick Topping, Hatiras, JELO. The hottest track Gettoblaster and ZXX has done that soon will be released is a remix of .xtrak "Facc", where I saw Sirius Hood drop it in Detroit and it rocked the crowd. Also be on the lookout for a collab remix of Opus III "It's A Fine Day" with Bad Boy Bill, Gettoblaster, and myself. I also have some disco house projects on Hatiras's "Spacedisco Records" including a top seller "Dream Machine" which made it into Traxsource's top 100 tracks of 2017.
