Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hello world, my name is ROXANA and I’m a singer-songwriter from Portugal.
I was born in 1996 in Romania and moved to Portugal at a very young age where I got more into EDM music. I was approached by Byred (Portuguese producer) to sing for my first EDM track called “Love Again”, which was something I’d never though I’d do because my main focus was always RnB. From then, I’ve started working with multiple producers from all over the world and getting songs singed in different labels.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I used to listen to a lot of 80’s and 90’s music…still do, so I think that has influenced me a lot, especially at songwriting.
Of course, with the evolution of the music industry a lot has changed and music is not the same anymore…new artists, new creations, new influences…all that has contributed to the type of music I work on nowadays and not only that, but also to the type of person I am today because, at the end of the day, my music represents me. I get inspired by everything and simply try to put that in words and melodies so what I mean by this is that the “old” still has a huge influence on me as much as the “new”.
What´s new right now?
I’m currently working on a new track with a great producer and a good friend called Matt Rysen. I’m also collaborating with another producers and new music will be out soon.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
What I like to tell myself before starting songwriting is to think outside the box. We’re artists. We create. If we fear something, we should write about it. If we love something, we should write about it because, at the end of the day, we’re simply putting our hearts into our creations.
