I’m an artist. I make music, and other things art.
I have many band members in different cities. I would love to be able to travel with them and bring them everywhere I go, but it’s not quite possible yet. I’m in love with each and every one of my bandmates, they’re all amazing people and great musicians.

It was more than a year ago, I can’t really remember how I planned it, I’m sure I had a huge master plan though. But I made a little video with my friend Urs and just spread the word. A lot of people were so awesome and supportive, and now super patient because it took centuries for this record to even have a release date. Now it does though, May 28, 2013.
Q: How do you promote your music? Do you have any specific promotion tips on how to use
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Soundcloud?
I think in timezones a lot, I have to kind of wait for people to be awake everywhere till I post things online.
Q: How do you distribute your music?
I’m distributed by Irascible in Switzerland, otherwise CD baby.
Q: How do you get your gigs?
Lots and lots of emails, like loads. Also from Rob Pattee who helps me book in Canada and Greg Zeder who books me in Switzerland.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge or problem as a musician? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Everything is a challenge, that’s probably why I’m choosing to stay a musician/in the arts instead of doing anything else. Biggest challenge is probably financial, but things are slowly coming around now. I’m planning tons of touring starting in the Fall, I’m excited.
I’m my own boss, and that is pretty intense, balancing everything, music and business while being in different places. I’m pretty hard on myself, so I’ve had the challenge that I stress myself out then can’t really do much anymore. I’ve started to chill out recently, having more faith in the future, it’s working out way better for me 🙂
Q: What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Everything happened how it happened, I can’t think of anything that I regret right now. Well, I regret maybe any miscommunications with any band mates or people involved in music that was probably my fault. But otherwise, everyone has their own path and that is very important to know and focus on sometimes. Just be kind and try to set goals, close ones and far away ones.
Q: You have released your first album in 2008 and have presumably been a musician long before that – Did you or do you have a long term plan or strategy on what happens in the next four to five years?
When I was 10 I l know that I wanted to play music for lots of people. I think I kind of had that in my head for a long time. It’s still there, I want to connect with people, as much as I can, and the most amount of people as possible and with music and art that is true to myself. I know those things and so far that’s been enough for me. My long term plan 4-5 years is that, maybe I should write shit down and plan for reals, but it’s important to know that you don’t know things until you know them. I’ve always pushed and pushed, but there are realizations that happen in music and business and you need to learn some things before you can understand other things… So you can plan your whole life, but in the end I think it’s disrespectful for life to plan solid to far ahead. You have no idea what will happen, and that’s great. I feel weird planning gigs for 1 year now… though now I’m starting to have to do that… I mean, I could be a nun by then, we could be in some apocalyptic world fighting for water, I don’t know. I mean, I’m also used to a lot of change in me and around me, so maybe that’s just what I’ve found. Good to plan but chill out.
Q: We meet again in one year. What has happened?
Haha.
Well, I have a nice chill summer ahead of me, I plan to write a lot, play a few festivals and also some smaller concerts in Canada and Europe. Starting September I’m on tour in Germany and Holland – that goes until November – then I’ll be on tour in Canada a bunch. Timothy Jaromir and I want to book a tour of West Coast Canada and US in January 2014. Maybe I can record in Vancouver in February… I think I’ll be touring Europe again, hopefully France too – in March, April, May. Maybe somewhere in there I’ll get another support slot for a tour somewhere, that would be nice. It would also be great to record a whole new record.
